The practice of medicine in today’s world is both a wonder and a challenge. Never in history have physicians had so many tools to utilize in the quest to heal. In recent years technology has brought forth medicines, techniques, and equipment that are revolutionary. However, it still comes down to the doctor and the patient. It comes down to a relationship that must spring forth from a singular source, a place of trust. The patients that I see are many things. They become my friends, my colleagues, and my extended family. They trust me to help heal them when they are ill, a trust I hold sacred. The quest to create wellness is what I do, it defines who I am. Patients are not customers to whom I am trying to sell some sort of product. These are people that my medical team and I are trying to keep healthy. I am a physician not a salesman. The practice is all about helping my patients create a life of wellness.
